H
HONESTY IN MASS
In order to try outlook 2007, I was forced to download it with the entire MS
office 2007 family...trial. OK, I have tried it, set it up. honed it to
exactly where I want it. What bugs me is that 2010 is in Beta but no one at
MS seems to be able to give me a release date. So I just shelled out 109.00
on software that will be obsolete in 6 months. I can't wait, I run a
business. MS has dropped the ball in so many ways, it's terrible. OK, back to
the story...
I go to the store and purchase outlook 2007 and install it. IT says it is
already installed (it is, via the trial version). I try to activate it and
the key doesn't work. I'm guessing I have to uninstall the ms office and
resinall the stand alone program. The problem is, Microsoft is causing me a
lot of unnecessary work in all of this. I then have to re-configure all the
email accounts? That's a lot of work. I have close to 20 email
addresses...all require special ports and ssl. I spent the last month trying
the trial program, honing it to perfection. Now I have to re-do it all?
That's nuts!!
Please, someone, tell me there is an easy fix for this so that I can get
back to making a living. MS is paid handsomely for supposedly making it easy
on us. Seems to me, I shouldn't be wasting all this time on setting things up.
