activation code for windows 97

help! I need to dowload windows 97 office before reinstalling office 2003 I
had cd but no code

If you do not have a product key for Office 97,
then you cannot install it. You'll need to purchase
a "Full Version" of Microsoft Office.

Why? Just install Office 2003, and follow the instructions.

As Bob said, you don't need to install your previous version of Office.
Start with Office 2003 and you will be prompted to insert your Office 97
CD in the drive. At that stage, insert the CD you have for Office 97
and when it is "certified", remove it and reinsert your Office 2003 CDs
and continue from there. You will get instructions through out the
process on the screen.
