I have three licensed copies of MS Office XP, student
versions, for three daughters. I installed two of them on
separate PC's without a problem. During the third install
on a third PC, I accidently used the same CD over instead
of loading the third and last licensed, unactivated CD.
The program replied activation failure, and called for the
right CD. Regardless, it now states activation failure
with any CD I reference, previously activated or yet to be
activated.
Is there any way to tie in the CD with the installed
version on the hard drive to determine which of these CD's
contains the unactivated license? I suppose I could
contact Microsoft and see if there is a live body to talk
with about it...
