activation of trial

When I try to activate the trial copy I downloaded, using the registration
key provided, it will not activate. I says I have activated too many
times - which I haven't I'm just trying to trial the program. What are my
options to fix the problem?

Me three -

It's too bad, I was looking forward to evaluating this software for my lab.
Too bad the trial doesn't work at all.

Well, I have been using a trial version for the last few months. Now I am
trying to convert to a full version. Mine doesn't say I tried to activate
mine too many times but it does tell me I entered an invalid license which I
know is not true! I have checked and re-checked...hope someone from
Microsoft addresses this thread!

Well - just hit exactly the same problem. But of course Microsoft support
cannot help as there is no assistance given on trial products - not even to
get the thing working.

Sorry MS - you just lost one more customer

Well, when you downloaded it, you knew that they didn't support it. I'm sure
that guy - whoever he was - tried to help you.

For all we know, you guys could have used it on other PCs? And you're not
even paying for it? If you get something for free, why on earth would you
expect it to work?

With a product as excellent as OneNote, you're not hurting anyone but
yourself if you give up on it! This is THE product I would have created if I
had the skill; now I'm spending hours each week designing OneNote templates
and other material for students and at-home medical records workers. Many
college students received free trial disks through their campus bookstores
and have resolved them at used book stores and online auctions. Look around
--I would be surprised if you couldn't find a copy at a reasonable price.
Friends of mine who simply can't understand any other Office product can see
how to use OneNote as the notebook concept makes it accessible to Office
novices.

If you are trying to activate the trial version of OneNote with a Volume
License Product Key, it won't work. a Volume License Product CD is required
for a Volume License Product Key.

Yea, maybe it's great. I have the "no
internet-connection"-although-it-positively-is
there-and-no-proxy-whatsoever-problem. Have already spent hours trying to
find a solution. Do I realy want to waste time on a trial. Shouldn't I be
looking for other, WORKING software? Maybe there is an
open-source-alternative or something. But if MS wants me to TRY the product,
they should let me.
