I need help please. I am a struggling college student who
bought Office XP last year when I purchased my laptop.
Recently though my laptop has crashed and I was unable to
save office. To make matters worst I could not find my
original office cde to reinstall, so I went out and bought
another verison of office XP. I put it on my desktop and
laptop but can only activate the one on my deskttop. This
is do to the licensing agreement I understand, however, I
was on the microsoft help menu today and it said something
about acuiring a second licenses but did not say how to go
about doing that. Could someone please help me with this.
I do not have another $100 to throw away?

Thank you all for the advice and the patch. However, there
seems to be a problem with my internet service provider
(roadrunner, tampabay). For some reason it is rejecting
the attached file saying that it has a virus or worm on
it. Could someone please give me a website address to get
the patch along with brief instructions on how to use the
patch.

Again thank you all so much for the much needed help,
Matthew Billa

The reason it was blocked is because it probably was a virus or trojan! How
the hell do you think these things are being spread.

I thank you all, however, the activation problem still
presist. The patches that have been sent to me are
contaminated and so I am unable to use them. I will find
another way to solve my probleem.

Again thank you all so much for you help,

Matthew -- I think you should call MS Product Support Services and ask them
for help with your activation. Don't rely on patches anyone would send you
through e-mail -- you're just asking for trouble if you do that.
