Activation Problem.

Hello

I bought a new laptop a while ago (6 months) and I also purchased microsoft
office for it. When you buy it and install it, you then open it and there is
a message saying whether you would like to activate the product over the
internet or phone, to unlock 'additional features' I have ignored the message
up until now, because when you go to use the program it acts as though it has
frozen, and you cannot type anything on it. Why is this, and what should i do
to solve the problem?

If you have an answer reply to the thread or e-mail me at
(e-mail address removed).

Thankyou

If you ignore activation long enough, Office stops letting you edit anything.
It's an anti-piracy measure. Read http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=293151 for
a description, particularly the answer to "What is reduced-functionality mode?"

To get it working again, activate it. In any Office program, click the Office
button, then the Options button in the bottom right of the menu, click the
Resources tab in the options dialog, and click the Activate button.
