Activation Reset Question

I have several OEM copies of Microsoft Office XP and 2003 which I would like
to sell on ebay. I have hardware to go along with them to comply with
Microsoft's OEM resale policy.

However, some of these copies were installed on PC's many years ago, around
2002-2004. They have since been uninstalled around the same period of time
and sat dormant and uninstalled.

Is it true that these copies will reactivate on a new install? I was led to
believe that after a period of time, the activation data on Microsoft's
servers "resets" and allows a new activation even if it isn't on the same
computer it was first activated on.

Thank you.

In order to comply with the EULA, you would need to sell the PC that the
OEM software is installed on. You can't sell the software.

DON'T EVEN TRY IT....NOT WORTH THE HASSLE.....the reason why OEM is cheaper
is so that you can install one time....from what I have learned, the OEM
software is registered with a combination of hardware items, including mobo,
hard drive, processor...so if your hard drive crashes, shouldn't be a
problem, however once your mobo dies, your sol.....just pay the little extra
to buy a retail version and save yourself headaches down the road, and not to
mention, ebay might de-list your item especially if its used OEM

You're talking about branded OEM not generic OEM. Do you know the
difference?
