I have installed office 2003 Teacher and student edition on 3 computers. 2 of
the computers were notebooks that I will be replaceing. Is there some way to
install on 2 new computers and trash old ones???

Yes.
Uninstall from old computers and install on new computers.

If internet activation does not work, you will be provided with a telephone
number for activation.
