Active Directory Sync and Multiple domains

Hello All,
We are having some syncing issues between our ProjectServer and Active
Directory. We currently are running ProjectPro2003 sp2 on a Server 2003 box.

We have a multiple domain environment. Our ProjectServer is currently tied
to DomainA. All of our users are in DomainA. We are in the process of
moving everything to a new DomainB. All of the users were manually updates
with domain\username as each user was moved to the new domain. This has been
working well and we are in the middle of testing moving the development
server to DomainB.

On Dec 23rd no one was able to log in. Turns out all of the users were now
at DomainA\username. We changed all users to go back to DomainB using the
resource pool. Now each nightly run of the AD Sync process all of the users
are being pointed to DomainA.

Nothing has changed on the server itself. Our networking people state that
nothing on their end has changed.

Does anyone have a clue would could be causing this and any ideas on how to
resolve this?

You guys tried turning off the auto sync for the interim till you have
completed the server / domain move ?
