Active Directory Sync Error - Unable to Add Resource

Hi All,
We have Project 2003 without SP running. I am trying to sync. the
Active Directory and Enterprise Resource Pool. I created a group in
Active Directory and added two users to it. When I try to update from
Server Configuration page in PWA I get the following error in Event
Viewer:

Component: AD Connector
File: AutoADProcess
Line: -1
Description: <Description><![CDATA[AD Res Pool Sync - PDS ADD Res
failed : Sadiakh]]></Description>

It seems as if PDS failed to add a resource. But I fail to understand
what could be a possible reason.
Any suggestions are much appreciated.

We have a customer who has the same problem. It suddenly appeared, there were
no problems before. The system is able to make a connection to the global
catalog server, theraftere tries to add every user in a group to the resource
pool. Then they get exactly the same error: PDS ADD Res failed

The group sync works well.

Does anybody know a solution, or more important, knows what is causing this?
