I have recently installed and am running Windows 2003 SP1 with Sharepoint
Services 2.0 and Project 2003 SP2 all on the same machine...SQL DBs are on a
remote system. Everything has been fine until I tried to synch an AD group
into the resource pools...it keeps failing with EventID 2 [AD Res Pool Synch
- Accessing AD Groups failed: (20004)FetchGroup: etc...
Does anyone have any idea....there was a hotfix for this type of issue but
all the file versions in the hotfix are older than the files I have installed
vis SP2.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give!!

I'm assuming that the Project Server machine is joined to the AD domain,
correct?

Try this simple test
From Project Server click on Start --> Programs --> Administrative Tools
--> Computer Management --> Local Users and Groups --> Groups
Right click on Guests and select Add to Group...
In the Guest Properties window, click on Add
In the Select Users, Computer, or Groups window, is your AD domain or
computername listed in the From this Location box?
