Active Directory synchronization with EPM 2007

Hello All,

We are deploying EPM 2007 and we do an synchronization with the Active
Directory from EPM 2007. It works fine. The user name, display name and email
address will show up in the right field.

But what my question is how could we add the employee number to the
synchronization ? We would like to map the employee number to the enterprise
custom field personnel number.

Do you also know how we could change the mapping ?? Because the department
will map to group and we would like to map department to code.

Does anybody has answers on these questions and how could we change this and
where? Do we need to change this in the Project Server Interface??

Your answers will be appreciated very much!

Thanks.

Regards,

Manfred

You would have to do this programmatically through the PSI and leveraging
Server Side Events.

Suggest pinging the dev forum to see if anyone has any sample code.

In the 2007 (P12) version, Microsoft has given the ability to create your
own code using
PSI methods and allows a user to specify what assemblies to use for handling
server events:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms481079.aspx

There is also a 3rd party tool that can synchronize with your enterprise
resource pool and has the ability to map custom fields. It can read any xml
output from any 3rd party source. They have not come out with the 2007
version yet but I believe they have a release date of September or October
for this. For more information:
