Active Hyperlink colors

I've changed the active hyperlink colors in FP2003. Set it to a light blue
color, and both hyperlink and visited hyperlink are set to the same color.
When I publish my site, and bring it up in IE6, the active hyperlink is a
completely different color, like a black or dark blue.

Any ideas why this would be happening? I'm running FPSE2002 on a W2k SP4
server.

Here's the link to the page if anyone is interested.

Steve,

Are you talking about the links in the top right corner? I noticed that
when you are on the page that the menu item isn't actually a link. It's
just showing up as black text.

I'm not using FP2003 yet (bad MVP!) and I don't usually use the built in
navigation components. I'm wondering if there isn't a way to change the
properties of the text in that menu? Perhaps change it so that the active
page is a lighter color?

I'm grasping at straws here, so I hope this helps.

Hi Steve,

Had a look at your site. The hyperlinks have been added using a
Navigation bar. You can see that the hyperlink and visited hyperlink are
showing the correct color - yellow. The reason the active hyperlink is not
showing the blue color is because it is not a hyperlink once it becomes
active - i.e. there is no anchor tag for that link - as you cannot click on
it. The nav bar is converting it to plain text! Hence this behaviour. You
may want to set the font color manually for this nav bar.

Regards,
Vijay

Actually it is set up as a link in the exact same was as the other links on
the navigation bar. And if you go to one of the other pages, and use the
same navigation bar, you can click on it at that point. Its just showing
the wrong color when its calling itself I guess.

Actually it is set up as a link just like the other pages. And when you
browse to a different page, the link becomes active. It may not be showing
up as a link on the 1st page because its the page that the link refers to.

Hi Steve,

Thats right that you can click on it when you go to another page. Its like
this, you can 3 links on the page - "Home" "Rates" and "Personal Shop". Now
when you click on "Rates", The "Rates" link is no more valid, it becomes
Text. The other 2 remain links. Click on "Personal Shop", now "Personal
Shop" becomes Text while "Home" and "Rates" become links. This is correct
behavior because when you are on "Personal Shop" page, there is no need to
click on it again. Hence this behaviour.

Vijay

it's not a link, I messed with styling a fp nav bar (text) and I think I
left the page up http://nedp.net/ctl you can get the style sheet and see the
code there. all you've got to do is put a <span class="whatever"> and
</span> to envelop the nav bar and it'll work. hopefully my test page is
still up so you can look at the code.
