Active Office 2004

Hi group,

I´m a newsbye on Mac, so it should be a easy question for you guys.
Here in company we do have a iBook G5 with Office 2004 installed, and
now it´s asking for activation, my Office license will expire in 2 days and
it has disabled some features.

I´ve entered on the link to active it
(www.microsoft.com/mas/default.aspx?prd=office2004tdq) but as i choose the
right options (Brazil and Order by Cd) it takes to a 404 Not found Page.
Is there any other way to active it? Here in Brazil, Microsoft does not
have telephone support to do so.

Thanks,
Rodolfo Fontes

Is this a new ibook? I think this must have been only a 30-day trial
version (the Test Drive), as MacOffice does not have activation for the
purchased product (unless Brazil is different, but I doubt it). If you go to
Word>About Word (or equivalent in any program), it should say that it is the
Test Drive, I imagine. The last couple of years many Macs have come with
the Test Drive pre-installed.

I'm afraid you will have to buy it to keep using it. If you buy it, be sure
to remove the Test Drive trial version before installing the new version.

If this is a purchased version, and it is bugging you to Register rather
than activate, you can ignore it. All it does is sign you up for a
newsletter. But there should not be an "expires in 2 days" notice on the
Registration reminder, nor any disabled features.
