Active Server Pages - opening a secure database

I'm having an issue with ASP not being able to open a
secured Access database. It works fine with an unsecured
database, but it doesn't work correctly when trying to
pass the username and password for the database when
creating the .asp file.

Any help would be appreciated.

Here is the error:

Error Type:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers (0x80004005)
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Cannot open
database '(unknown)'. It may not be a database that your
application recognizes, or the file may be corrupt.
