I have a problem in the way outlook appears to store phone numbers & them
syncs them with my PDA.
I am in Australia (61)
If I type a number into my outlook contact phone number as "+61 (2) 9999
9999", save it and then run ActiveSync (4.2) it syncs it into my device
(imate jamin) and dials that number from it without any problems.
If I use the "Check Phone Number" option and enter it there, the number
shows correctly, but when it is saved and syncd again, the number will not
dial correctly. I am not sure what it is trying to dial, but assume that the
'+61+ details are being sent, which for local numbers is invalid.
We are about to roll out lots of PDAs and there are lots of numbers in
peoples systems, and I would hate to have to advise all users that they need
to re-enter numbers as per method 1 above.
