Active-X component cannot create object

This message appears when I open Word 2003 (Win XP SP1). Googling hasn't
turned up anything useful so far. Does anyone have any suggestions? Both
Office and XP have been reinstalled.

Has there being no minimise or restore buttons for my documents when
they are opened have anything to do with this?

I also get "Compile error in hidden module:TBRun97" when I open Excel.

I won't speculate about the rest, but TBRun97 is an add-in left over from an
old version of TextBridge OCR software. As the name suggests, it was written
for Office 97 and does not work in later versions. You will lose nothing by
removing it.

Thanks, Susan. It didn't register with me that it was TextBridge.
