active X control

hi
when i try to open a database on access 2007 a screen appears that i should
install active x control on a pc using windows XP but if i try to open on a
notebook it open.

Active X controls get upgraded unpredictably and a new version can break
existing code. It's very hard to keep all PCs on the same version. Do
yourself a favor and always avoid Active X controls in Access dbs.
