Active x Controls

Stumped

I am a building a site along a similiar workflow as I have built before.
However, this time when I insert the horizontal navigation bar, and then save
and view in Internet Explorer, I get a pop up message saying that the webpage
has blocked content because of Active X controls.
This message does not appear on pages on my other site built the same way.
Does anybody have any feedback as to what is going on and how to resolve it?

Thanks for the link/feedback, I'm not sure if this is treating the symptom
and not the cause. Why do the two cites display differently with the same
browser settings? Is there something to be done in FP ti correct this?

How long ago was the previous site? Internet Explorer 6 was updated to
provide this behaviour many years ago. The solution is to either follow
Murray's advice, or publish to a web server and test from there.

The previous site was built 2007, both sites are being viewed in same version
of IE. Just for the heck of it I opened another instance of FP and copied and
pasted the navigation into the new site, problem gone. Same as Murrays
solution this treats the symptom not the cause, I'd like to fix it in FP if
possible. Thanx.

Can your provide a link to your other site that doesn't show this issue as well as the site with the
issue?

In the 1st site with no problem, I deleted the working nav and inserted new
nav - no problem.
I have two concerns in dealing with this, 1 there is no active content on
the pages where warning shows up and 2 when the pop up appears the page
repositions itself relative to pages that do not have this navgation even
though they both have the same .dwt applied.

If the page has JavaScript of any kind, then it has active content.

I finally figured out what is going on. The 1st site navigation was based on
nav structure then final choise was back and next. 2nd site nav was based on
'bar with gack and next links'. So it appears that when choosing a navigation
component active x is assoc. with choosing back and next first intstead of
last. Does this make sense to You?

It is JavaScript, FP components do not use Active X, however the warning message is for any active
content on the page.
