Since I cannot get any of the suggested ways to link photos into my database
reports, I thought I would try a simple wizard approach.
See: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;285820 for an
example that doesn't work.
Using Access 2002, I cllicked on Table Design wizrard, personal, Plants.
(I'm doing a rhododendron database design) I selected ID, species, and
photograph for fields. In datasheet view, when I click on the photograph
column, nada. Right clicking offers a choice of Insert Object with a drop
down box listing Paint Shop Pro, Corel Photo album 6, etc.
None of them work. Paint Shop Pro only allows a new graphic to be imported,
not a photo. If I click cancel on the "make graphic box", everything freezes
and Cntl Alt Delete closes PSP and Access and I have to start over. I
sometimes get an error message that MS Access ran into a active X problem and
try opening PSP outside of Access, but that doesn't work either.
I guess I will have to embed photos by hand in Table Design View since none
of the above work, unless someone has any solutions to offer.
