Active X problem

Sean

I just started to receive the following when I try to
import data to Access 2000.

ActiveX component can't create object.

As a test I opened a new database and tried to load a file
I had success loading before and I still get the message.

Any ideas on why this is happening and how I fix it?

The first thing to try is to re-register the files DAO350.dll and
DAO360.dll, which are usually located in
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO

To re-register a DLL file,

1) Locate it (usually all these are in the Windows\System32 or
WINNT\System32 folder.

2) Locate the file regsvr32.exe.

3) Drag the DLL file's icon onto the regsvr32.exe icon.

Also, it would be a good idea to make sure that the latest Office 2000
service packs are installed.

I have been having the same problem with a database created in Access XP that
is now on a computer using Access 2003. I used the directions you gave and
BAM...IT WORKS! Thanks so MUCH!!!!
