Are you testing this using File Menu | Preview in Browser?
Where did you get this from?

Note: Only users of IE will be able to see/use ActiveX components and they will also be prompted to
allow it to be downloaded.

Yes I tested it using preview window. I think I also
tested it with file menue preview in browser. All I get
is the empty progress bar. I can't find instructions on
how to get the bar to track progress of something. Also,
are you saying that active x controls are risky and should
be avoided in web design? thanks Jerry

target 6 on the link bars.

ActiveX controls are only supported under IE browsers.

ActiveX controls requires users to allow them to be downloaded to their PC, since they can be a
security risk.

You haven't indicated where you got this component from, as FP doesn't come with any ActiveX
Components. FP will show and allow you to select ActiveX controls that have been installed on your
PC, but that doesn't give you a license to use them on the web.
