I have an Excel workbook created in Excel 2003 being used by several hundred
people, most with Excel 2000, and they have no problems using a forms text
box that is on the sheet for documentation. A handful of users who have Excel
2007 cannot use the textbox. When it is selected, it lets them drag it
around, which they are not supposed to be able to do, but they cannot enter
any text. I want to change the forms text box to an Active X. Whe I create
the text box in 2007, it acts the way I want it to; they click on it and then
can type. I cannot get it to work when I create the Active X text box in
2003. I set the properties the same in both files, but it didn't work. I have
not knowingly worked with Active X controls before, so I'm sure there is
something simple I am missing, or there is a key bit of knowledge that I
don't have. Sorry for the rambling question, but I'm not even sure how to ask
the question. Thanks.
