ActiveSync

I am trying to set up an IPAQ 2210 to sync with Outlook.

I am using Outlook 2003, Windows XP, Active Sync 3.7.1 and
PPC 2003. When using this set up I cannot get the IPAQ to
sync with any of the Outlook components (i.e. Inbox,
Calendar, Contacts).

This is when trying to sync via the desktop AND server (as
we are running Exchange).

*Tried Syncing with a PC running Windows 2000 and it
synced! using Active Sync 3.7.1, PPC 2003 and Outlook 2003
(sync was via the desktop)

Have spoken to HP and as the IPAQ syncs with 2000 as far
as they are concerned there is not a fault with the IPAQ.

Running Windows XP i have:

*Tried IPAQ with 2 different PC's both running XP SP1 -
both did not sync

*Downgraded Outlook to version to that which came with
IPAQ (Outlook 2002)
- still did not sync

*Tried using 4 versions of Active Sync
-3.5 was incompatible
-3.6 was incompatible
-3.7 (version that came with IPAQ, this did not work)
-3.7.1 (latest version donwloaded from Microsoft.com),
this did not work

*Tried Syncing using 4 different user profiles
-PC Admin
-Domain Admin
-PC User
-Domain User
non of the above worked

*Have tested USB ports with other devices (e.g. Printer
and USB Key) these work using the ports

*We know the system allows syncing as we have synced using
windows 2000 and have also managed to sync an Axim running
PPC 2002, Active Sync Vesion 3.5, Outlook 2003 and Windows
XP

*in between trying the different things we have hard reset
the IPAQ, so that no settings will be remembered

can anyone please help?

Works for me with exactly the same setup: OL2003, WXP, iPAQ 2210, AS 3.7.1,
and PPC 2003. Are you using the USB sync cradle or infrared sync?
