I am a complete newbie with Visio, but I've been asked to host our company's
ActiveX controls within a Visio document. I inserted it easily enough, but
the controls aren't behaving properly.
1. When I set control properties on the activeX property page, that
information does not reach the control. It does work for other third party
controls that I tried, so it seems that our controls are defficient in some
way. BTW, our property pages do work fine in other third party activeX
containers like FrontPage and ActiveX Test Container.
2. I know I'm missing something but, most of the time, Visio will not
actually create the control window. Sometimes they show up, sometimes they
don't. Also, when I open my Visio document in the 'Office Viewer ActiveX'
control, they are NEVER created.
As I said, these problems do not occur in other Microsoft ActiveX
containers, so I'm wondering if Visio has some special ActiveX requirements
that I don't know about.
Thanks,
