Activex controls no working

When I try to use the Control toolbar to add buttons, I
get the message "Microsoft Map is no longer supported
w/Microsoft Excel" Huh?

The Forms toolbar is too limiting for what I want to do,
although it works fine.

Microsoft Map is indeed no longer supported as a part of Excel; it is sold
as a standalone product, I think.

I have no idea what you are doing nor why the Forms toolbar cramps your
style. Would you like to say what you are doing; perhaps someone may be able
to help.

I think I'd try this:

Tools|Customize|Toolbars Tab
click on Control Toolbox (just to select it)
click Reset

(If you've customized anything on this toolbar, you'll have to do it again,
though.)
