ActiveX dll's/Office Devevloper 2K

To all:

I want to create an ActiveX dll to use with an Access2K database. I have
VB6.0 (Learner's Edition), but cannot figure out how to make a .dll file -
it seems to only allow for .exe's. I DO have OfficeDeveloper 2000, but have
not installed it. Is the installation pretty simple? Are there any
gotcha's other than those listed in the readme files? I have Office 2000
Professional and Access2002 on my computer now. What do I need to do to
avoid conflicts? Should I only install the COM add-in's or the entire
package?

Thanks for any help you can offer.....

Andi
