Locate normal.dot and rename it to .old when Word and Outlook are
closed.
Now try it again.

If I don't use the signature, the dot does not appear. I tried to
create
the
signature from scratch and as soon as I add a second line, the ActiveX
problem appears, regardless of the font I use.
:
I think that is your ActiveX control which has to be removed. When
you
create a new mail without a default signature does that dot and the
warning
still show up?

As far as I can tell, it's just text:
Lisa (using the font Lucida Handwriting)
Lisa Nicholson (using the font Verdana)
I created it using the default editor. There is a little dot above
the
first line when I come into a new message. When I cut and paste
the
dot
into
word, it shows up as a paragraph mark, but there is no extra line
in
the
signature.
:
Actually you really don't want ActiveX controls. What is in your
signature?
Just text?
What editor did you use? Just the default one or the Advanced
Editor?
In case of the last; what are you using as your Advanced Editor?

Recently changed my signature - nothing fancy, just a font
change.
Now
when
I try to write a new email, I get the message: "One or more
ActiveX
controls
could not be displayed because either:
1) Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX
controls
on
the
page, or
2) You have blocked a publisher of one of the controls."
What can I change to allow for ActveX controls in Outlook
