What is causing the following problem and how can I correct it? This is the
first time I've ever experienced something like this in 8 months of using
Access.
1) Create new db
2) New form -> Design view
3) Insert Activex Control -> choose Calendar Control 10.0
Access generates an error and closes.
Same thing happens when I am working with existing applications and try to
invoke mscal.ocx
The error log show records similar to the following:
USERENV(300.5ec) 08:29:38:036 RegisterGPNotification: CreateEvent failed
with 5

When browsing through the log file I noticed some events which occured
several days earlier:
USERENV(b4.94) 08:50:27:452 MyRegUnLoadKey: Hive unload for
S-1-5-21-1619138054-1435325815-989530775-1002 failed due to open registry
key. Windows will try unloading the registry hive once a second for the
next 60 seconds (max).
USERENV(b4.94) 08:51:27:839 MyRegUnLoadKey: Windows was not able to unload
the registry hive.

leaked from \Registry\User\S-1-5-21-1619138054-1435325815-989530775-1002
Do I have to re-install Office to fix this? or is there a less draconian way
to correct the problem?
TIA
