Why do some of my contacts have or display no activity in the activities
page. I like using the activities page to track correspondence with contacts
but have issues with some, am I missing something in the process of setting
up the contact initially?

do you have outlook items linked to the contact? This would be email from
the email address on the contact or appointments, tasks etc where the
contact is linked via the contact field. If you use more than 1 contact
folder, right click on each and choose properties - check to see which
folders Activities is scanning.

I believe I have the items linked to the contact. When I look at the
properties of the Contact folder and click on the Activities tab I am set to
look at all items in my mailbox. Most all my contacts within this folder have
activitiy history with the exception of a few. Why are some saving
information and others not?

They are not "saving" information - it’s a search and the search updates
when you click activities. Data from recently used searches are saved so the
process seems instant with some contacts.

When I initiate a "search" of the activities for certain contacts it finds
nothing, for others there appears to be a complete history that allows me to
link to the specific activity. Why would that be if the contacts are all part
of the same Contact folder and linked alike?

If its not finding them either the linking is not correct or the search is
bad. If using Outlook 2007, try reindexing the mailbox. I've never seen the
search fail on the old versions, provided everything is in one pst and they
are correctly linked. BTW - mail is always linked if the email addresses
match.

I've posted a similar question. I can't get my activities to display. I've emailed certain contacts and journaled them as well, but they don't show up in Activities. I can see the journal entries for the entire day, but they are not segregated by Contact. Thanks for you help.
