activity strech

Hi,
How can I make activity A's start & finish be dependant on two other
activities? (B&C)
B will determine A's start
C will determine A's finish.
Both of them at the same time - I've tried SS & FF but only FF wound up
determining A's dates and SS had no infuence.

Thanks,
Assaf.

Thank you very much! you've been a great help!
Is there a way for more than one task to drive the start or finish date? So
it would take the latest one of all the drivers?

You cannot paste several DDE links into one cell, but you can group all the
predecessors in a summary task and that's the end of this summary which will
drive the start of your hammock. You will group the same way all the
successors in a summary, and the start date of this summary will drive the
finish date of the hammock.

Hope this helps,

Connect all of the driving tasks to a milestone and use that to drive
the hammock task.

Dave,

How would you connect the milestone which will drive the Finish date of the
hammock ?
I'm afrais it's not easy.

I've misread the question and only given a partial answer. As I read
it, the OP wants the hammock to finish at the date of the latest driving
task. If that is the case then the milestone solution works.

The corresponding problem for the start of the task is the part I missed
and is, as you say, not easy, although now I'm spending a bit more
time thinking about it, the problem isn't completely specified.

I understood (maybe I'm wrong) that:

Predecessors:
The latest Finish task drives the start date of the hammock
Sucessors:
The earliest Start task drive the Finish date of the hammock
....
