Actual Hrs from timesheet directly in to project, skip My Tasks

We are upgrading from Project 2000/Project Central (long overdue!) to Project
2007/PS2007. I'm trying to get it set up so that when resources enter their
actual hours on their timesheet and submit, the hours automatically submit as
task updates. I don't want resources to have to go to My Tasks and import
timesheets and submit again. Is there a way to do that?

Thanks,
Michelle

You can implement a piece of code that is found on CodePlex www.codeplex.com
called "Project Server 2007 Timesheet Tied-Mode Service and Event Handler".
Here is the direct link: http://www.codeplex.com/AutoStatusService

What this does is runs a job that will automatically perform the timesheet
import and task update submittal each time the user hits the "Save" or "Save
and Submit" buttons in My Timesheets.

Alternatively, you might want to consider not using My Timesheets at all.
It might not be necessary in your organization and you might be able to
continue working in My Tasks only.
