Actual hrs of work displayed in the project vs the project web acc

I currently go through project web access 2003 to enter all hours of work
performed by my resources on each project for that week. The problem I have
encountered is on some projects when I open the project in MS Project and
look at the resource usage view, I see actual hours of work projected out for
months past the project end date. The latest example I have already shows
actual hours worked through October 31st. This is really causing a problem in
reporting actuals vs baseline back to the managers. It appears to me the
system is replicating these hours for some reason. Is this a project settings
issue on my end?
