Actual Protected Work more than Actual Work ....

Hi Listers

We am having a situation in which for some of the resources , we have
actual protected hours coming less than the actual work in the OLAP
Cube View. Also the Cost seems to Rate * actual work , rather than Rate
* Actual Work protected.

We have had to re-import some of the projects , in which this resources
were working , but we followed the standard steps recommended while
deleting a project and re-importing them.

I hope I am making sense , and want to know whether anybody else has
faced a similar situation earlier , and if yes , how did they fix it.

Thanks and Regards

Rajan

Rajan,

What are "protected" hours? I've not heard that term used with relation to project server before.

"Actual work projected" is used in conjunction with managed time periods in
Project Server 2003. Actuals entered in closed time periods are "protected"
by the system and cannot be changed. Hope this helps.

Dale,

Thanks for that clarification. I've just never seen the term actually used in the software anywhere.
