actual work does not show up in PWA

I try to make a change in Project and it wonlt allow me beacuse of actuals
being protected. When I go to PWA I can see that the "work" field has the
total that I wanted to change, but I go through the resourses time sheet and
thier is no entry on any date at all. Somehow under the resources name it has
some hours saved but I cannot find the date related or adjust actuals. Any
idea on how to find these mystery actaul work entries? This is a serious
problem for us.

Your process in using Project Server is incompatible with the use of the
Managed Time Periods feaure, which assumes that all actuals will be entered
in PWA by team members, and then updated into the Microsoft Project plan by
the PM. If you are using Managed Time Periods, the system does not allow
you to enter actuals manually in the Microsoft Project plan and then "push"
them to PWA. Hope this helps.

Dale,
Thanks for the help! I sounds like PWA is the only way to populate actuals
into Project when using the PWA Timesheets.
I still have tasks in PWA that are listed under the project (in PWA) but do
not show up when I look at the project in MS Project Pro.
I also have tasks that show up but have been deleted. Is there a way to
have deleted tasks not show up under the "adjust actuals" view?

Refer to the following FAQ for the steps needed to remove cancelled tasks
from PWA:

http://www.projectserverexperts.com/Shared Documents/deletecancelledtasks.htm

Hope this helps.
