Actual work entered through timesheets does not update the project

Hi,
The resources in my project enter their time through timesheets (which is
protected) and I went to accept the time however, the actual work didn't
update the project plan. I tried to click on collaborate and update project
progress, but the task updates aren't visible anymore. I also received this
error "Your StatusApproval job failed.", error code 1042. Does anyone know
how I can update the project plan without asking resources to re-import their
time. By the way, I'm using Project Server 2007 and Project Professional
2007.
