Actual Work Impact on Resource Availability

L

L. Kershaw

Once actual work time is entered into a plan and the plan is published, it
appears the Resource Availability does not adjust. Is this correct? Any
thoughts on what I may be doing wrong or what I can do to handle this
situation.

L Kershaw:

Planned work reduces availability and the only availability one is generally
concerned with is future. Unless you post actual work into the future, which
would make your data highly suspect, IMO, it would affect availability.
Don't forget that availability data is not updated with a publish, rather it
is updated by the system on a nightly basis. If you're using 2003, this
happens with the cube build, in 2007, it's a separate process.
