Hi all,
Your help is needed, please…
We are using Project Server 2007 with infrastructure update.
After a team member said he cannot see in My task grid actual hours he
reported in the past on an assignment, we entered together to the
Assignment details page, and checked the Transactions section. We saw
some actual work which was submitted and accepted in the past, but
didn't show up in the grid.
The Project manager gave us a clue: She said that she have changed the
problematic task to a summary task (by inserting some tasks under the
problematic tasks) and after a few days (when realizing that the
actual work disappeared) changed it to a regular task again, but the
original actual work didn't return…
I thought there is some "protected actual" mechanism to prevent this,
but the bottom line is that the original actual work is lost, and
"Sync to protected actuals" does not make any change either.
What can we do to restore the actual work, and how to prevent it in
the first place?
Thanks,
Gil
