Actual work not importing correctly

Hi,
My organization uses both Project Professional 2007 and Project Server 2007.
The resources actual work is protected. After they import their timesheet
through Project Web Access, the project manager accepts the request but the
project doesn't reflect the actual work in the plan. I'm still in the process
of testing SP1 so that hasn't been installed yet. The resources don't upate
the remaining work through PWA. Only the project managers update the
remaining work. Does anyone know why these actual hours aren't visible in
this project? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Are the PM's publishing the plans after accepting the updates. Ensure that
both the timesheets and task updates are being approved.

Yes, the PM's are publishing the plans after accepting the task updates. The
timesheets are automatically approved.

When the PM reviews, approves and publishes the updates, are they visible in
the plan ?

If so, check for any errors in the queue related to the publishing ?

You are describing a known bug in pre-SP1 Project Server 2007. Your
organization absolutely needs to apply SP1 with all due haste. Hope this
helps.

The August Hot Fix, scheduled for public release on August 25th, is
suppose to address additional issues with Acutal Work not making it
into the Project and also issues around the hours not making it into
the Reporting Database. We continued to see issues with actual work
not updating even after SP1.

Thank you very much. I'm working on getting SP1 installed. Is there also
another update called "Infrastructure Update"? Do you know the details about
that update?

Thanks,

Yes, the Infrastructure Update is the latest update to Project Server 2007.
You may want to hold off on implementing the Infrastructure Update, given
the fact that users in this newsgroup are reporting problems after applying
it. You should definitely implement SP1, however, as it fixes a number of
nasty and annoying bugs in the system. Hope this helps.
