Actual Work protected & Actual work not matching

Hi all,

I am using project Server 2003. After my team members enter the actual work in PWA.

I find the differences in the Actual Work Protected & actual work in few of the tasks.

Can anyone tell me what could be the reason.

The most obvious reason is that the project managers are editing the
actual work in Project Professional, especially since it only appears
in a few tasks.

Actual Work is the overall work submitted on the tasks but not necessarily all hours approved by manager

vs Actual Work Protected are approved actual hours

Thanks Sandeep & Mark,

Another issue is, In Project pro Actual work protected has 4 hrs , but for
the same task, time period, the data is empty in PWA.

Actually I wanted to adjust the data for the time period in PWA using "
ADJUST ACTUALS".

So I just want to know "IS there any way to adjust the "actual Work
protected" data in project Pro itself?
