Actual Work Protected displays zeros for future weeks

In some cases when a PM sets the status date for a project to reflect the
date that their resource's time entry has been completed, and then
reschedules uncompleted work to start after that date, the Actual Work
Protected field displays '0' in some furture weeks.

If the PM then tries to re-forecast work to be done by the resource for one
of those (future) weeks, MS Project automatically enters the time into the
Actual Work field as if the work has already been done.

Any suggestions why this is happening and how to avoid it?

Hi PeterH,

Your reference to the Actual Work Protected field leads me to believe you
are using Project Server and Project Web Access (PWA). Try posting your
question to the Project Server (microsoft.public.project.server) newsgroup.

For additional information on the Project newsgroups see FAQ # 24 "Project
Newsgroups" at:

http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

I hope this helps. Julie

Thanks Julie

I was in the wrong area when I created the post and didn't realise. I have
posted to the Project Server Discussion group now.

Cheers
