Actual Work Protected

Robert

Hello,

Could you tell me when the Actual Work in the Task Usage or Resource Usage
view of Project Professional 2007 becomes "protected".
Does it need that the Status of the Timesheet Period to be set to Closed ?
Thanks for your help

Actual Work is protected when the project manager accepts a task update from
a team member who submitted the update from their My Tasks page in PWA.
Actual Work Protected is only relevant, however, if your organization is
using the Managed Time Periods functionality in Project Server 2007. Hope
this helps.

Thanks Dale,

So the "Managed Time Periods" functionality is what we find in the
"Timesheet Periods" page of PWA 2007?
Thanks again

What you find on the Timesheet Periods page is only a part of Managed Time
Periods. The Managed Time Periods functionality forces all task updates to
flow from PWA, and prevents the PM from manually entering task progress in
the Microsoft Project plan, with the exception of milestone tasks. Given
this description, do you need Managed Time Periods? Let us know.

Sorry Dale,

I'm a little bit disorganized. I found your previous post on this subject.
