Actual Work vs Actual Work Protected

We are migrating to Project Server and I would like to know the difference
between the subject information. Is there a site that can help clarify the
difference? Thanks for your all help.

hi Lucky,

Actual Work Protected is the actual work a user enteres using the timesheet
functionality within Project Web Access.

Actual Work is the work entered into a Project schedule by a Project Manager
for example.

If you use Project Server and timesheet functionality, (and possible managed
timeperiods within Project Server), and approve time entered by an user,
actual time protected and actual time will syncronise.
A project manager is able to overwrite Actual Work, but not actual work
protected.
I hope that gives you a little more insight. Please let me know ifyou have
more detailed questions
thanks

Mark,

My PM's are complaining that the Actual Work in the project doesn't reflect
what the resources entered in their timesheets.

Is there a way I could check for which task using a query?

If this proves to be true, How can I re-synch the project actuals with what
was submittes in the timesheets?
