Actual work vs planned work across multiple projects

We are using MSP ES 2003 to manage and track many (over 50) projects and many
(over 200) resources. We need to show, by week and month, for each resource,
actual hours vs planned hours and the associated projects. Variance would be
nice, but we can live without it.

Hi Jay
I am running MS P 2000 Std. If you are running 50 projects and 200 resources
I will assume you are using master projects and a res pool. If not, then stop
reading now.
You can easily create the views you want in View Resource Sheet or View Task
Usage. Open the master file and the respool, on the LHS, insert a column for
project. On the RHS set up the calendar for the period required and right
click in the yellow area and insert an actual work row. This will give Work
(as planned) and Actual Work (actuals). To create variance you can export
these views to excel. This needs to be done in two separate operations - for
left and right panes..
If you need help to create the master file and the respool mention so in a
response.
It is a simple operation, and very powerful.
Hope this is what you were after.
Regards...........pratta
