Actual Work / Work / Baseline Work

Hi All

'Actual work' is work actually performed and "Work" is the total work that
was/is scheduled. If the project baseline is saved at the start of the
project, the 'work baseline' equals the scheduled 'work'.

I have been trying out scenarios and noted when the 'actual work' is greater
than the baseline (and the baseline is equal to the 'work') the 'work' is
adjusted to the same total as 'actual work'. Is this correct?

If so, how do I show the extra hours of 'actual work' performed over and
above the baseline? Surely this would impact on my earned value, I am
assuming earned value is calculated from baseline figures, and any variance
of 'actual work' / work is reported against the baseline.

Can someone please provide some guidance?

TIA to all whom respond - Vers

Work = Actual work + Remaining work, so at the beginning of a task, work =
work, at the end of a task work = actual work. Baselines don't change once
you set them, unless you change them.

Hi, Gary

Excute me
I am still feel confuse with work and actual work on time-sheet
How can I keep the original value of scheduled work on time-shee
when I input different value to actual work

For example
scheduled work is equal to 8 on monday,
It will changed by actual work, if set 2 to actual work
scheduled work=2
Thanks

When you baseline your project, the Baseline Work values are the original
values you seek. Hope this helps.

Hi Gary,

Thanks for responding. I've not had access to the NG so couldn't respond.

Have looked through past posts and figured actual will change work but not
not the baseline. Thanks for confirming this.
