Actuals changing for unknown reasons

Project Server 2007 pre-SP1

We are experiencing some random appearing taks updats:
Resources are entering time in PWA and its showing up as something different
(e.g., entered 40 hrs one day and it shows up on PWA as only 26). Then
someone hadn’t even put time in next week and 2 hours already shows up.

Any suggestions here?

Hi AmWall,

that may have several reasons, but what I would stongly recommend is SP1. I
could imagine that this will resolve your errors.

What I found to be the source of the problem was that users were entering
their time in the My Assignemnet view, but did not Save All before using the
Next or Previous button to view or edit another time in the grid. So, what
actually happened was that the data was entered in column 1 & 3 then they
moved to the Previous page the data they entered showed up in column 1 & 3 on
the previous page now. But, if they navigated to the Previous page from here
(now 2 pages from where they started) the data moved to the middle page and
when you go back to the original page the hours are gone. I suggested that
all users use the Save All button prior to changing pages viewed, or their
data will move to an unknown location.

I would still install SP1. Many (not all) issues have been resolved in SP1
