Actuals in Timesheet (2007)

Hi,
I've setup Project server 2007 and unable to figure out a way to make Actual
Start and Finish available in Timesheet as editable.

In 2003 I had written a macro to have it included in Gantt chart and then in
published fields as editable.

Has anyone tried this in 2007?

Regards,
Sumit

Hi,

In timesheets the Actual start date is the first day with actual work and
the Actual Finish is the last day with actual work after remaining work
becomes zero. So, you shouldn't edit actual dates when using a timesheet to
enter hours per day as that causes data conflicts.

If you are not using hours per day, then use Actual duration and edit the
PWA timesheet view to have Actual Start, Actual Duration and Remaining
duration. This isn't as accurate as hours per day but is the next best
thing.

Certainly the fields Actual Start and Actual Finish are available in Project
Professional.
