AD Synchro fails

I cannot get the ProjectServer environment to connect to the AD for the
automated group sync.

When searching the Internet almost no information is available concerning
this.
Does this have anything to do with the IIS server is not able to connect to
the AD with the correct rights? If so, where to change that (services or
IIS).

Really, it seems like I've tried everything.
Any suggestions?

I am having the same problem. Please advice how to solve this.

I have created all security groups (MSProjProjectManagers,
MSProjTeamManagers...) under org\ok\groups\ in AD.

I have tried both a manual update and the auto update using the "update
every" option. I have also tried inputting the AD Group in all three ways -
alias, domain\alias, and alias@domain - as suggested in the admin guide.

Another problem, on the same page maybe, getting warning and errorin event
log.

Apply Service Pack 1. It fixed for me.
