Add a calendar to Project 2007

Joe McCormack

I need four different calendars for my projects due to the use of shift work.
I am scheduling in a factory that can run as many as three shifts. My
standard is 8-5 for the office. For the fabrication shops I have created a
early 8 hour shift and an early 9 hour shift. I now need an early 10 hour
shift. If I start a new project and modify one of these calendars, I have
been told that by modifiy the calendar it will modify all projects with the
new information. Is that correct.

Thanks,

J

Hi Joe,

If you are using Microsoft Project without project server,
modification of a calendar in one project has no effect on any other
calendar in another project. If you modify an enterprise calendar
in Project Server, I believe it modifies the calendar for all
projects which use that enterprise calendar.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
