Add a drope down list to documents on D drive on Standard Toolbar

In MSWord I would like to add a drop down list that would get me to various
documents in a folder on my D drive. A coworker has one in her PC but I am
unable to figure out how to add a Folder or Title and a drop down menu
linking to the documents.
(It is very simple using the taskbar and adding a new toolbar with all the
documents or shortcuts listed in a folder.)
